Let's colour block: jasmine and carmine

JUMPER: BETTY BARCLAY, TROUSERS: F&F, SHOES: M&S, HAT: JOHN LEWIS, NECKLACE: COVENT GARDEN ANTIQUE MARKET, EARRINGS: ACCESSORIZE, BELT: N/A & BAG: N/A

Firstly, I know those colours featured in the little seem a little 'funky' but I wanted to be as accurate as possible so used wiki's page of shades of colour! Yes, my life is such fun...

I wore this number when I went out with the girls recently, and love love love it. Sure, I can only hope for better weather so that my hat doesn't blow off when it's windy and for not so cobbled streets, but you win some and you lose some I guess. What's the best thing about it? The fact it's a warm winter option, with bright spring colours. Contrasts are fabulous! I'm just so happy with this colour pairing, I wouldn't usually consider putting a wine colour and an off mustard together, but they compliment each other so perfectly.

I have to tell you that that little bag (which I get compliments for all the time) was bought by my mum in the equivalent of a car boot sale, isn't it just a darling of find? Remember, contrast opposites. Class versus edge is a big thing for me. Take the seemingly beautiful jumper with its crossing perpendicular lines - now that's classy - then take the zip detail on my trousers- that's the edge. The little things do count dearies!

You probably can't even see my jewellery, but I kept mine light and small. The necklace was a small skinny one, with about three focal points. It's stunning- and I'm not just saying that. It's in a previous post of mine, 'one pound a pop jewellery' and is the one featured on the far left, I think, with three pink-ish pendants attached. The earrings were just a simple pair of flower shaped drop earrings. To be honest, whilst I'd keep accessorising minimal, I'd quite like to see this outfit paired with a chunky long necklace- the right one though. We don't just want to wear any old thing.
